Under the Patronage of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan Bin Talal, The Third International Conference on Refugees in the Middle East was organized by the Center for Refugee, Displaced and Forced Migration Studies at Yarmouk University under the title: (International Community, Opportunities and Challenges) in Amman during 14-15 March 2018.

The conference was attended by politicians, diplomats, participants from Jordan and from outside the Kingdom.

Thirty-six working papers were presented to the Conference by 20 local, Arab and international countries and lasted for two days. The importance of convening this international conference, at this particular time, is to establish appropriate frameworks for comprehensive development in terms of the reconstruction of countries affected by armed conflict by regional and international efforts, and to establish national reconciliation, as well as to support the economies of countries that have borne the burden of hosting refugees on behalf of International community.

Ms. Catalina Jerez Paredero, from University of Barcelona, participated in this event and presented a brief overview about the RESCUE project and the main need analysis results.
